Born and raised in Alabama with family roots tracing back to Louisiana Ben grew up a good ole Southern boy. He has followed his roots back to New Orleans; which he now calls home. Growing up in a Southern Creole family dishes like his Mom’s red beans and rice, his Grandmother’s stewed okra, and his Papa’s drunken chickens were some of his favorite meals. When Ben is not in the middle of an oil refinery where he works as an engineer he can be found in his kitchen where he takes inspiration from the meals he grew up eating as well as dishes he has eaten at restaurants that have never left his mind and makes them his own.
